We hope you enjoyed our New York edition! Continuing our special collaboration with Duvel USA, we invite you to explore the Windy City on the second leg of this exclusive ShowUsYourType expedition. The birthplace of the skyscraper, the City of the Big Shoulders offers a compelling skyline of innovative architecture and modern design infused with a rich history of diverse ethnic cultures. The city’s unique cultural heritage can be experienced through its 77 neighbourhoods and 51 communities, each bearing a distinct culture, history and identity.
In a toast to innovation and heritage, this special edition of ShowUsYourType celebrates Duvel’s signature tulip-shaped beer glass, which was the first of its kind to be introduced in the late 1960s. The rounded shape is designed to allow drinkers to fully appreciate its exquisite flavour and aroma. In that spirit, let’s raise our glasses to the authentic cultural diversity that colours Chicago’s mesmerising landscape.
So excited to announce Ben Chlapek as our cover artist, a Chicago based talented freelance illustrator / musician / printer / designer + composer located who also participated in our very first ShowUsYourType edition! So thrilled to share this very cool artwork, big thank you Ben!
Design a poster that expresses Chicago and uses the word 'Chicago' in anyway you wish. It's optional to include the D from Duvel's logo or create or own variation of the D. If you choose to incorporate this in your design the logo can be downloaded here. And note that this time because we are partnering with Duvel we have to make sure you are 21+ years old ;).
The winning design will be featured on Duvel’s iconic tulip glass used in establishments throughout the Big Apple and beyond. The winning designer will also receive a pack of Promotional Premium Items featuring their design, on top of a $500 donation to a NYC charity of the designer’s choice, made in his or her name, made via The kulturspace Foundation. We look forward to experiencing your interpretation of Chi-Town.
