2019 Elisava Workshop with Joris Debo & Lisi Badia

Design a poster celebrating the centenary of the Bauhaus. Participants will be introduced to the Bauhaus theoretical principles and will be guided through its typography, history, design and its influence on today’s society.

The goal of the workshop is to centre the typography around the word Bauhaus. Each poster must include the word Bauhaus and can make use of 3D printed elements. Participants will learn basic theory about typography and how to create a typography from scratch with a clear concept, coherence and consistency in mind. We will go over composition, layout and basic notions of how to start thinking in a 3D design piece. The students will have access to technology and
a diversity of materials to print and enter the world of 3D. Recommended basic knowledge of 3D software.

TO DO

A poster for each student about the centenary of the Bauhaus, focusing on a piece made with 3D technology. The last day, we will organize an exhibition with all the pieces.
